WISPAYROperators, get in touch
Communications Support Unit

We don't just write the software.
We show up.

The CSU is Wispayr's mobile ops platform — the same intelligence plane you've just seen, packed into a vehicle, ready to deploy. Wispayr is a RAYNET member. The CSU is available to RAYNET and to other agency partners, for both planned events and incidents.

Who we are

A unit, not a product.

01

Wispayr, the company

A one-person platform company based in Ayr. We design, build and run the intelligence plane that sits under every surface on this site.

02

Wispayr, the RAYNET member

Wispayr is a member of RAYNET — the UK's civilian emergency communications volunteer corps. When activated, we work under RAYNET protocols.

03

The CSU

A vehicle-borne deployment of the entire platform. Kit that runs the software, staff who run the platform. Available beyond our own events.

What we bring

A deployable slice of the platform.

Every box in the van is already wired to something on the site. When we turn up, the CSU is not a point deployment — it's a node on the mesh.

Dual uplink

uplink

Starlink as primary, WireGuard tunnel home as secondary, Reticulum mesh as degraded-mode fallback.

Edge compute

compute

Halio-based compute for on-board vision inference and local lens execution. UDM-Pro router, go2rtc video relay.

Deployable cameras

vision

UniFi Protect cameras on mast or tripod. Iris orchestrator names them, assigns them, and routes streams into the flow engine.

RF + EM awareness

spectrum

Van Spectrum Dominance — 11 Prism lenses aggregated into a single operator dashboard. Geomag, radio propagation, aurora, CMEs, local RF.

Asset tracking

kit

Every case, cable bag and antenna is QR-tagged in Kit. Scan to check in/out. Container-within-container tracking for mobile deployments.

Dispatch gateway

dispatch

Field-originated SMS, email, Telegram and push via the Wispayr Dispatch gateway. BYOK per agency if required.

SITREP feed

intel

Operator-facing SITREPs generated every 120s, persona-filtered. Fused from weather, grid, transport, EM, local RF, and anything the cameras see.

RAYNET AllStar monitoring

radio

Clyde RAYNET 16-node AllStar network health is already a Prism lens. Silence detector, hub flap detection, coverage gap analysis.

Power + transport

physical

Mobile power provision, mast, antennae, comms kit ready to mount. Listed and tracked down to the cable.

When to call

Events. Incidents. Everything in between.

A

Planned events

Community events, airshows, outdoor gatherings, exercises. The CSU arrives, sets up, runs the comms and intel picture for the duration, packs down.

B

Incident response

When RAYNET is activated, the CSU deploys under RAYNET tasking. Agency partners who need augmented comms or a mobile intel surface can request the CSU directly.

C

Partner augmentation

Event organisers, venue operators, and resilience community partners who want a turnkey comms + intel capability for a specific day.

D

Resilience exercises

Full-stack exercises where the CSU is the primary comms node and the platform is the shared operating picture across agencies.

What happens when you book the CSU

The platform is the playbook.

  1. 01

    Pre-event brief

We take a look at the site, the expected footfall, the weather window, the grid and comms landscape. A bespoke Prism Surface tenant spins up with the map layers and data feeds relevant to you.

  2. 02

    Arrival

Van arrives on site. Power up. Starlink established. WireGuard tunnel to the platform. Dispatch wired to your contact list.

  3. 03

    Deployment

Cameras on mast. Antennae up. Kit scanned out of the container register. RAYNET AllStar or VHF nets brought up as required.

  4. 04

    Operate

Operator cockpit live on Prism Surface. Rolling SITREPs. Incident acknowledgement and resolution logged. Partner agencies get tenant-scoped access if agreed in advance.

  5. 05

    Pack down

Kit scanned back in. Deployment history retained in Kit. Post-event report generated from the timeline. Incident log preserved for records.

Working with partners

How we fit.

Wispayr is a RAYNET member first. When RAYNET tasks the CSU, we deploy under RAYNET command and protocols.

Outside a RAYNET activation, the CSU is available directly to agency partners, event organisers, and venue operators who want professional comms + intel support for an event or incident. We bring the platform; the partner keeps the command.

BYOK channels, tenant-scoped Surface access, and per-engagement data retention are all first-class features — built in because we've needed them ourselves.

Got an event? An exercise? An activation?

Get in touch and we'll talk through what you need. First call is free; we'd rather understand the job than sell you the kit.
